New Demos!

Well, the old a0.53 build was getting pretty old and different from what we have currently, so we wanted to bring the demo up to date. Now that we have a fairly bug free version in a0.72, we decided it was time. The demo features the story mode up to the fire bear nest, so about 2-3 hours of straight through gameplay. It also contains the build mode for people to try out building things in the Creations Editor. Most importantly, we now have Mac and Linux demos, so you can try out the game before you preorder!

Now that we have new demos out, we need you, the players, to help spread the word a bit and let people know about it. Post it everywhere! 🙂

I’ll talk about Steam Early Access in a post next week, we’re almost there.

Hello , i have a problem , when i try to execute “Play_Planet_Explorers” the game crash and this is the same for “Game” , i’ll try to start it with execute as administrator but it still not working , sorry for my English i’m french.

      Try using Winzip and see, also, check if the unpacked size is around 3.11GB. If it still doesn’t work then, please post the output log found in the play_planet_explorers and the game_data folder on our board and we’ll work from there.

Just a quick message, I think you guys need to really update the steam community/greenlight page. It’s last update was of 0.62!
A lot of purchases will be via Steam no doubt when it comes to Early Access, but people will be put off with the lack of updates to the page.

Just thought I’d let you guys know as it’s probably a worry to a lot of people about backing your game 🙂

I’ve downloaded the Mac demo but it crashes as soon as I click the start button in the launcher. And by crashes i mean it hangs after a short time with the spinning beach ball. I’ve tried setting the graphics to CPU only since i’ve seen elsewhere that this is a known problem. (nothing recorded in the log file folder either)

Really want to try this game!

i cant start the launcher or the game. it always crashes.
i tried admin mode, checked the size (its 3.12gb) and unziped it twice (7-zip and winrar).

I’m on a mac, downloaded and extracted. But it won’t play, says “Play_Planet_Explorers” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer.

What should I do?

  Never heard that one before, probably ask Apple what an “unidentified developer” is and go from there. Might be a system permission thing, nothing to do with the game though.

Downloaded demo, but my character keeps spinning and running like crazy. can’t control my character at all. Can’t remove bindings from joystick and i can’t bind any keys to any option. character stops after i open any window and move my mouse over that opened window. Any advices how to fix this ?

  Pull out the joystick or any virtual joystick. It’s a Unity bug, can’t do anything about it.

i realy can appreciate this and i think some other with me and i think this is smart to.
first the free alpha test and now demo is a good thing not many develpors are so smart it maybe cost some money you and for them.
but it will safe some money when people have to download it in a less profet way (free)… for the developer thats not good.
people most of the time want to try something out before they buy it.
most of the time you have to buy a game and it not a game you thought it was.
but how could you know this?
there whas no free demo no aplha to try it out
i had it ones with a game.
no i can only say i realy can appreciate this.
so people can try it out the legal way.
i tryed this game on the free alpha version and i most say i like it and it look very nice and beautiful may the game will be a succes and hopefully a hit.
i have this game now in alpha 0.72 version.
and i like the blog updates how things are going
