Hey everyone, here are the Mac and Linux alpha 0.55m clients, we had to wait around a day for them to be approved by IndieDB, but here they are:
http://www.indiedb.com/games/planet-explorers/downloads/planet-explorers-alpha-055m-mac-ver
http://www.indiedb.com/games/planet-explorers/downloads/planet-explorers-alpha-055m-linux-ver
These clients currently cannot host a server yet, we’ll correct that in a0.6. They can join games hosted by other players. When people change armor and weapons, the frame will drop (just like in single player, except here when everyone does it at once, it’ll cause a real long pause), we’ll have this fixed in the next build. If you find a bug, please go post it on our board at board.pathea.net.
Also, we screwed up and showed the private servers on the public servers list as well, so there are a lot of servers on there that you cannot join simply due to the fact that the host forgot to uncheck “private server.” Pick the ones that have players in them (pages 2+)
Now, a lot of people have been asking about how to upgrade tiers, please send an email to patheagames@gmail.com and we will get back to you case by case. You will need a Paypal account for this to happen, please give us the following info:
– Name
– Name used in Kickstarter
– Current tier
– Which tier you wish to upgrade to
Then we’ll send you a Paypal invoice.
For Paypal backers that wishes to upgrade, please give us:
– Name
– Paypal username
– Current tier
– Which tier you wish to upgrade to
We can invoice you or just refund you previous tier and let you upgrade yourself.
The Mac version is not starting. I click the Planet Explorers icon, but it bump one time in the MACOSX bar, then won’t open…
Ok, i did again the uncompress with a diferent program and it run, but there is no single player and a i can’t join any server…
Having the same problem, running the unrar on the file, then trying to run it, and it bounces and closes itself without even an error message. Not really sure what to do about that.

We just used winrar to pack it, since we’re not too knowledgeable on what the Mac and Linux use for zip programs.
Could be zip itself. The far, in my machine try to use unrar, but that wait it won’t open. Then i decompress with Expander and all go ok!
DLLNotFoundException:Libc6 crash error right after the Pathea Logo in Linux Mint 14 64bit. No idea what is causing this. I installed libc-i386, and no luck either. Anyone else having this problem?
Found out that on my Linux Mint 14 64bit Desktop, with a Nvidia GTX 550Ti 2GB video card, that it loads and plays just fine. This error, i am getting is on my Laptop with a Nvidia Optimus setup running an Intel graphics card, and a Nvidia Geforce GT 640M 2GB. I am trying to run it with “optirun”. “primusrun” is giving me the same error.
Here is a screenshot of the error i am getting. http://orkultus.files.wordpress.com/2013/05/screenshot-from-2013-05-25-015606.png
It might be trying to use the intel card to run the game.
Here is what ldd is showing:

My nvidia card has been working well with everything else via “optirun” and “primusrun”. So i dont know what is different about this game. I am running the Nvidia 319.23 drivers, and they work great.
When running the client on a macbook pro, it boots the game properly, and gets to the main screen, however when I attempt to log in, it will not allow me to input my account information. I can select the box, but it is not accepting input from the keyboard. I tried logging in as normal anyway (to see if the text was not being shown) and it displays an error for username not exceeding 6 characters, so no such luck. After that log in attempt, and closing the error dialogue box, it freezes the game, and stops accepting any input. It does not lock up the system however.
Can you post the game output log found in the game’s folder on our board? Much appreciated.
