  2. Hey guys i’ve bought and love the game and the 0.7 screens look amazing but i DL’d the windows version and everytime i click on the .exe it goes black then crashes immediately. I can open the launcher though

    Also can anyone direct me to where I can get some help with this like a forums section or something; sorry if this is the wrong area for this.

    I’m willing to wait for the 0.71 version if i have to, i realize the game is just in alpha so crashes should be expected. Thanks for reading

  3. I’d love to enjoy this, but after recent… problems with other alpha and beta games *DayZ, Warframe, for example* I am afraid to shell money for something. I’d like to test it, with the trial, but each third party website directs me to an add, which then leads to the download. But the download doesn’t work, so I press the “Click Here” now button, and it happens again. 4 Web pages with 30 second ads apiece, or registering on random sites, to try this game.

    I shouldn’t have to go through difficulty to see if I want to buy your game. Fix please. Untill then, you definitely don’t have me as a customer, which is a shame, because it looks like a great game with some real good potential.

      • If you’re still having problems
        Go to your Control Panel, Security options ( I think it was, maybe its in firewall) and in one of these security areas you need to add the launcher and the game exe’s to the allowed list, might be more… I remember my gf had this problem and found that to be the solution.
        If you still have trouble figuring out what I’m talking about or after doing that still have trouble, google it, and look on the forums, The answer I found was there.

  8. Two questions:
    – Are the activation servers down?
    – Is there a way to update from 0.62 to 0.7 without downloading the whole thing again? I just downloaded what the site indicated as the latest version, this has exceeded my download limit and am charged at a rate of $100 a GB.

    When i click update it takes me to a full 2.5gb download…

    • No the server is up, but it only recognize a0.7 now. As for downloading the whole thing, unfortunately, in alpha, the game changes a lot, so there’s not much we can do about the size every time. It’ll stabilize when we hit beta.

  9. am I missing something here. I bought the game. I am now attempting to download the game, and everytime I click on PC download…it takes me to some Chinese or Japanese gibberish and I can’t read what the heck it’s saying? HELP???

  10. please respond if anyone knows why the activation server isn’t responding it keeps responding to me with “cannot connect to activation server” and i have five bars of internet PLEASE RESPOND!

  19. Any idea whats causing the guns/cannons sounds to not work, frustrated with the 0.7 update. I Downloaded 0.53 to try and I would go as far as to say it felt more finished than the purchased 0.7 version. Simply because every time I get into a conflict there are no gunshots/ the animal sounds still play after the fight, which really breaks the immersion. I know others have mentioned about the creature sounds delay already, the main issues seem to involve sound atm. I dont mind compiling a list. I could email it if you like? Sound design is my specialty! 🙂

  21. As paying customer and supporter of this game. I don’t use torrent they cant be trusted. All torrent don’t just use you for just the program you want they use your connection to support other downloads they have. You are used to increase the down load of other programs. Ck your down load file size to download bandwidth its not the same as what it ends up through data packet sizes and if you have programs that watch usage it will show what I’m talking about. I have those programs and use them to watch for running programs in the back ground, if you are not surfing they should be just low end back ground noise a twitch is all, any constant usage and you know it keeps using you. Here is the kicker you have no idea what it is sending.

    As a paying customer I don’t pay to be used.

  24. I’m going to post this as a separate comment too so people can see it down the road.

    You need to adjust your security settings for the Launcher to be allowed to interact with the authentication servers because most computers will assume that something fishy is going on due to the Launcher being a separate entity from what the activation server is actually connecting to and Activating. (to my understanding)

    Some people will not have this problem at all, others will, turning your firewall off is not a fix.

    It’d be best if you googled your way to the original text of the solution
    but for what I remember, you need to go to control panel and then mess with your firewall settings, allowing The Launcher, the game exe and possibly the hostserver exe….. That’s atleast the solution I remember giving to my girlfriend, of which, worked. She originally tried turning off her firewall, which is why I say turning it off will not work.

    • You’ll need to go into your control panel -> system and security -> allow a program through Windows Firewall -> allow another program.. -> Find the files to where ever you extracted the game. (The specific location listed is for Windows 7. Other versions are similar but the control panel group to find it may be different)

      Went and looked back for the info I messaged over skype. This was it specifically.

      And you need to add all 3 exes

      • To add. I personally do not have a system and Security part myself, which is maybe why I didn’t have to do what she did.

        Assumably the people breezing past this have a different setup, and their System and security works differently as such, and the activation goes smoothly

        Others that actually have this are probably the ones having the issue. And Pathea May wish to look into that possibility.

  25. I bought the game and i did not receive a game key i have emailed the admins and still no response and the link to resend key does not work. Any help would be nice.

  26. I’m running this on an ASUS G75VX running Windows 8 Pro 64 bit.
    Presuming your machine supports open CL like mine does – if you are trying 0.53 alpha and suffer these problems in the different game modes.
    You spawn under the land at water level
    You spawn in the air and fall to the ground and die
    The game loads to 100% then locks.

    Try deleting Users\\Documents\PlanetExplorers\SystemSaveData.xml

    then rerun the main executable but make sure the resolution says 1024×768 with graphics quality = good

    After starting the game successfully save the game and exit to windows.

    Rerun the game with desired resolution and quality settings load the save game and enjoy.

  28. So, just found this game today, haven’t played it yet but looks pretty fun, what i wanted to know is if the free version will be updated as the other one is updated because for now i can’t buy it. Sry my bad english.
