Planet Explorers Refund Policy

Planet Explorers is available for pre-purchase as an alpha product, incomplete and with bugs, with the aim of a bug free final build working on most machines. You are buying the final build, with the perk of playing the alpha and the beta. We do not promise that the alpha or beta builds will be bug free or will work on all machines.

Before making your purchase, you may try our free alpha build on the download page (a0.72 demo) to evaluate the game. You may also contact us at admin@pathea.net with any questions.

After purchasing Planet Explorers, you’ll receive a game key. As long as the key is not activated, you can request a full refund up to 30 days after purchase from admin@pathea.net. Once the key is activated, you have 3 days (72 hours) to request a refund for the game due to performance issues only. Beyond the above time limitations, no refund will be issued. If you claim the corresponding Steam key, you will forfeit you right to a refund.

By placing a preorder for Planet Explorers, you are assumed to have read this refund policy, and have agreed with and fully accepted its terms. The policy only applies to the preorder on this page.

  1. great game! there is severe performance issues when i play it though. massive amounts of lag 🙁 i dont blame the developers though. this game has obviously been worked hard on and im giving it a 5/5! hopefully this Christmas im getting a computer upgrade so ill be able to start playing properly then!

  5. I must say, I think you lads have hit gold as far as gaming design comes. This is exactly what I have been looking for in a game since Minecraft was released. Been playing a.53 for a few hours, and aside from the door issue, and one of your hell crabs murdering my companion while I had my back turned, then scaring the fuck out of me, it’s been a pretty sweet run so far.

    I do have to ask though, adventure mode for .53.. I scrolled through this and found my answer quickly enough, but I have to muse, you devil’s wouldn’t have added that “bug” to encourage more people to preorder now would you? 😉

    either way, gnarly game dudes. Can’t wait to get in to some mad multiplayer.

        Just using the preorder option is easy enough, but can I still fund through kickstarter, and if yes, how long is the wait before I can jump in. I am thinking of grabbing the $55 pack, NOT the all digital pack, I want the hard copy of the game 😛

        It seems straight forward enough, but I just wanna confirm for my own OCD mind.

        It contains the stated products, plus everything from the $25 tier, plus soundtrack from the $30, and the artbook from the $40, yes? It says “everything from the previous tier”, but the previous tiers also say that, does that mean it works in retro for those tiers?

        Or am I being too literal.. >_>

          However, the first question still stands, can I still fund through Kickstarter?

          I mostly want the soundtrack to listen to in my spare time. From what I’ve heard in game it’s a fucking awesome piece of musical magic, and whoever put it all together deserves a sandwich and a lifetime supply of blow jobs for their absolutely outstanding ear for serene music.

  6. I almost did not buy this game for the third time just based off these comments here.

    For anyone else just skimming this chat area to determine whether or not to purchase this, i would like to clarify a couple of things that swayed me from buying this the first time.

    1) Alpha, LOL what can I say, bugs bugs, no play-ability mixed with more bugs. NOT true, I have played my fair share of Alpha’s for sure, as with any real gamer. This is far better than most that are well in there Beta stage. Can even say with all honesty I have seen far worse just out of Beta. Don’t let that word scare you out of a purchase. Very polished and mounds of play-ability in this Alpha. I’m not sure about the free version this only applies to 0.62 Alpha “and probably later”.
    2) Alpha, LOL, yes word is still there. As with most Alpha’s download, load, and watch the errors pop. NOT true. I am not sure this is for everyone but as for me I was loaded and in game within minutes. Not a single load problem. If you have one it’s you not the game. Do some research, it’s very fixable and probably a very simple repair. I think they have a forum setup to help you threw that. I have seen it posted in this chat a few times.
    3) Last but not least, is it worth the 20 bucks? That’s for you to decide. However i’m Hours into play time and having a blast. Already got my 20 out of it even if i toss it out tonight.

    In short, If you like other voxel games out there, quit thinking about it. get the game and play. You will be very pleased with this “Alpha”, of this I have no doubt.

    All the specs are fine, I just cant figure out whether my Graphics card (NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT) supports OpenCL and DX 10.
    But I guess it should…?

  12. hey I just got this game but im a little hesitant on using the cd key yet. you guys have no way for me making an account so will this key cover the seam release? how will u guys know to send me a steam key? once i activate this am i just activating a key with out it being linked to an account. it all seems to sketchy now so ima hold off on activating incase i need to get a refund. not saying this is a scam but the whole giving me a key with out linking it to an account makes me feel iffy now. :c

      • please void my first few questions about linking an account i think i figured it out. but before i use my key im just wonder after downloading the most recent client it asks me to use my cd key on an email does that mean my email or my paypals email? i had to use my parents paypal so its not the same email. it wont invalid my key if i used it on my own email? sry for typing so much just want to make sure i’ll be able to use this on steam on release and log in with my email.

        • Yup, the Paypal email. We’ll have an option later down the alpha for changing emails, but for now, if you want to change it to another address, you’ll have to contact us.

    • Unfortunately, we can’t do much about that, so you’ll just have to wait for the Steam version in a few months. We will have a new demo around a0.71.

  15. Do you think you guys will ever include a first-person component? An option to go to FPS view? It’s not a super big deal but that’s a personal preference for folks like me. Even if there isn’t fancy HUD and such, I just feel more immersed when I’m “in my person’s shoes” as opposed to creeping him over the shoulder. Just would like to hear your thoughts on the matter.

  18. Very much considering buying this game as it looks great and like the idea that it is a voxel game un-like Minecraft. It reminds me very much of EA title Spore and its expansions, how ever the the creativity is way beyond anything that Spore offered and really like the way you have set things up. I must say I love the fact that you have implemented a non-cubic voxel game.

    I most definitely will give it a test run this evening (Demo) before I purchase the game however I think I’m just lying to myself and will purchase it anyway.

    Can’t wait to give it a bash!

    • Yes, just email us his and your email after he buys it and we’ll change it. There will be a user email/password change page a little later down the line.

  21. My list of complains / bugs/ rants.

    1. building a house… why cant i just shove everything inside it. i mean, i can shove anything i want inside my RL house, why not in game.

    2. add some sorta console so users who find a bug or problem can just type like /give X stake dollars. would be amazing, to just get back 4 hours of mining just to find out i cant exactly build a house…

    3. this bug i guess you could call it that, is annoying. i ran over to doctor, after already knowing what to do, from free version only to realize he doesn’t sell like 90% of the things the first chick did. so i cant make a campfire ect. if /godmode existed i could just restart do everything in godmode till i caught up.

    4. bug while bridging over the ocean, to get to the islands. yes i said bridging i found out, for some weird reason all the fish sorta started to float on top. i could actually kill them with out them swimming closer.

    5. bug upon falling into ocean everything was floating so i actually was able to swim to an island and not die xD.

    on a side note, idk how much admin cares for the rants >.< as for the bugs. he/she/it/they/alien may already know about them.

    • No, we’re not trying to include the universe in this game. It’s a lot more focused on the story and the world building and we want it to stay that way. However, we do plan to open up the moons and maybe the planets in the system as well.
